Originated in the foothills of the Alps & the Vosges Mountains,
but now also grows in France, Italy, Maldova, USA, and Germany.

Gewürztraminer is known for its bold lychee and rose aromas, often layered with ginger, orange blossom, honey, and spice when noble rot is present.
Gewürztraminer is best enjoyed young, but top bottles from Italy and France can age for over a decade, developing rich, honeyed flavors.
Its signature lychee aroma is attributed to linalool, an aromatic compound also found in the fruit.
